A Little Bit of Everything
- Setting anything I can (TV controls, MP3 Player, Facebook) to French -- Facebook has been great for learning computer-related terms. I also have Quebecois friends on FB, as well as reading the Canadiens boards where most people post in French.

french
- I downloaded my favourite tv series in french. Then at work I listen to them (only listen, not watching, so I perceive only audio). As I know whats going on in these series at least a little bit, I perceive new vocabularies and I believe it helps me improve the knowledge of french a lot.

French speakin friend
- I try as much as possible 2 be around friends who speak french. A day does not get by without me communicating wit them. They correct me each time i make mistakes. Having pen pals also helps to improve ur daily writing. This site is just the best!

French TV
- I have 10 francophone TV channels on my TV cable. I watch/listen/read these programmes with the french captions turned on. If the programmes have slow dialogue and the captions are well synchronized it helps to improve my listening, reading and vocab skills. The commercials are really helpful as they repeat so often!

incorporating French
- EVERYWHERE! My facebook page is in French. My cell phone's screens are in French. I do my "à faire" list every day in French (it's a challenge to come up with all the words I need!) I always have a French book on my "currently reading" list; the current one is "l'Obsession Anti-Americain" by Revel. (I just finished "La Peste" (Camus) a few weeks ago.

everyday things
- I have set my facebook, mp3 player and phone to french as they are probably the three things i use daily. I have also just bought a french dual language book which has the english translation on the adjacent page as well as reading lots of french magazines (you can always guess whats going on from the pictures if certain words baffle you!)

Blog, kids books, journal
- For pronunciation practice, I read aloud Laura's blog, record it and listen to it on the computer (and become mortified). I borrow children's library books in French which helps me to recognize some of the rarer verb tenses. I also keep a simple daily journal in French describing what I do, what I eat, where I go, etc. At 63 and trying to teach myself French, every bit helps ! I find this site most impressive and helpful.

Bible
- I downloaded the Bible in French. I already know the translation, so I can read along with a printed French Bible, and pick up most of the words. The printed edition and the audio edition are different revisions, so I pick up on different words and phrases that have the same meaning.

Audio Magazines
- I subscribe to both Bien Dire and Champs Elysées audio magazines. I listen to these CD's in my car every day, and they have helped me to improve my listening skills as well as help learn new vocabulary once I read the articles.
