Notes: The French expression il n'y a rien à voir can be used literally: "there's nothing to see / be seen." Far more often, however, the idiomatic expression rien à voir avec or rien à voir dans is used to mean "nothing to do with" or "nothing like." It can follow the verb avoir or be used on its own.

Examples:

   Cela n'a rien à voir avec notre travail.
   That has nothing to do with our work.

   Je n'ai rien à voir dans ce projet.
   I have nothing to do with this project; This project has nothing to do with me.

   Son nouveau livre est bon, mais rien à voir avec ses autres.
   His new book is good, but (it's) nothing like his others.
