Le tout

Le tout is a noun - it means the whole or all. It rarely changes to feminine or plural.
   Les éléments forment un tout. The elements make a whole.
le grand Tout the Great Whole (the universe)
mon tout  my whole (in the French game charades)
pas du tout not at all
rien du tout nothing at all
Le tout, c'est de faire vite. The main thing is to be quick about it.
