What is your favorite place in France?
Rennes, Bretagne (Brittany), in the west of France
How did you find it?
I'm an Australian of Breton descent, and Bretagne still remains my favourite region of France :)
My family originates from there and my grand-mother and aunt still live there. I go there every few years for family reunions.
Some travel guides feature the region, such as Pilot Guides.
I still have family in Rennes and have a strong fondness for this vibrant youth-friendly city.
- Mont-St Michel
- Saint Malo
- Further south: Nantes, St-Nazaire
Any good restaurants?
Any creperie in Rennes and most other local towns serves fine galettes (thin buckwheat pancakes native to the Breton region), usually with Breton cidre
