Simply choose a list of vocabulary to work with and then decide between four testing options of varying difficulty:

1. See French word and think of English translation.
2. See French and type English.
3. See English and think of French.
4. See English and type French.
   

You can also hear the French words pronounced. The program tracks your progress so that you always know which terms you've mastered and which still need some work.

Before You Know It includes 2,000 words and 500 phrases, multiple choice and dictation exercises, a pronunciation tutor, the ability to edit existing lists and create new ones, and the option to use the software on your iPod or other mobile device.
