Before You Know It - French Learning Software

If you are looking for an interesting new way to learn French vocabulary, there's a free program that can help. The educational software company Transparent Language has developed a program called Before You Know It, the "Lite" version of which is freeware.

This flash card software program will help you learn and remember dozens of French vocabulary words and is available for both Windows and Mac.

Before You Know It is a flash card program that can help you learn and remember French vocabulary.

Simply choose a list of vocabulary to work with and then decide between four testing options of varying difficulty:

1. See French word and think of English translation.
2. See French and type English.
3. See English and think of French.
4. See English and type French.
   

You can also hear the French words pronounced. The program tracks your progress so that you always know which terms you've mastered and which still need some work.

If you like the Lite version of Before You Know It and want more, you can upgrade to the Deluxe version, which includes

• Additional content: 1,000 words and 250 phrases
• Multiple choice and dictation exercises
• Pronunciation tutor
• Ability to edit existing lists and create new ones
