Definition: walkie-talkie
Avec l'omniprésence de téléphones mobiles, on n'utilise plus beaucoup les talkies-walkies - With the omnipresence of cell phones, people don't use walkie-talkies much any more.
Notes: I can't say I'd ever given much thought to the term "walkie-talkie," but when you turn it around, franglais style, it sounds so cute that I had to feature it. I wonder whether the word order reversal was an accident, or if someone actually decided that "walkie" was an adjective and "talkie" a noun, so the order needed to be changed in French. (The English adjective + noun usually translates to French noun + adjective - see position of French adjectives.)
