Definition: to put down; to ask (a question)

Il a posé son livre sur la table - He put his book on the table.

Vous pouvez poser des questions après la présentation - You can ask questions after the presentation.

(Note that you use demander to ask for something (a favor, etc), but use poser when it's followed by une question. You cannot say demander une question.)
