The thing I find interesting about a lot of franglais is the focus of the word. In English, we refer to the activity of brushing out one's hair while blowing air on it as "a blow dry" - the air and the result are the important parts. But in French, it's un brushing, which is only one aspect of what's going on - and not the most important one.
As for an equivalent French term, theoretically you could say un brossage et un séchage, but I've never seen that in a hair salon; it's always called un brushing.
