N - French Pronunciation of N

How is N pronounced in French?

By Laura K. Lawless, About.com

When the letter N in French is at the beginning of a word or syllable, it is pronounced like the English N, except it is pronounced with the tongue against the upper teeth, rather than behind them, as in the English: listen.

An N preceded by a vowel is usually nasal, unless it is followed by a vowel or another N.
