Definition: Person refers to the three groups of personal pronouns that, along with number, indicate who/what is performing or receiving the action of the verb. Each grammatical person has at least one of each type of personal pronoun.

Verbs that conjugate according to person are personal verbs, while verbs that don't conjugate according to person are impersonal verbs.

Persons:

Première - First
   (je, nous) - (I, we)

Deuxième - Second
   (tu, vous) - (you)

Troisième - Third
(il, elle, on, ils, elles) - (he, she, it, they)
