Definition: The adjectival form of a verb in the past tense; it has the properties of a verb as well as an adjective. It is used along with the conjugated auxiliary verb to form the compound tenses.

Examples:

J'ai vu Luc.
I saw Luc.

Il était venu à Paris.
He had come to Paris.

Des amours cachées
Hidden loves
