Definition: A conjunction is a joining word - it links words or groups of words. If you can fit a word into one of the following blanks, it's a conjunction:

Do you like reading _____ writing? (and, or)
I think _____ we should talk (that)
I'll tell you _____ you arrive (if, when)

Types of conjunctions:

1) conjonction de coordination - coordinating conjunctions

2) conjonction de subordination - subordinating conjunctions
