Definition: A French verb tense or mode with two parts: the conjugated auxiliary verb + the past participle.

Examples:

J'ai vu Luc.
I saw Luc.

Il était venu à Paris.
He had come to Paris.

Auras-tu mangé ?
Will you have eaten?
