Install the free French toolbar in your internet browser for easy access to useful pages on Learn French at About.com, as well as links to other features like online French radio and TV.

From left to right, the French toolbar includes these features:

The orange search box defaults to the entire internet; to search either the Learn French at About.com site or else a search engine that focuses on France, click on the tiny down-facing arrow to the right of the word "Go." Make your selection, then type your search term(s) and hit enter.

  3. Accents
The àë button will open my instructions for typing French accents in a new window.

  4. Corrige
Click the checkmark to access my French proofreading and editing tips.

  7. Gram(maire)
Not sure of the difference between adjectives and adverbs, or liaisons and enchaînement? The French grammar and pronunciation glossary offers definitions, examples, and links to detailed lessons.

  8. Verbes
One-click access to my French verb conjugator, deconjugator, subjunctivator, and lessons on all the different tenses, moods, and voices.

  9. Blog
The latest headlines from my French blog.

After clicking the little loudspeaker icon, paste text in the box and choose the language to hear it pronounced by a native speaker.

  14. TV Mondial
    Watch French TV online.

How to install the French toolbar:
Voilà - that's it. The French toolbar is easy to use and absolutely free. Once you've installed it and restarted your browser, you'll have a new toolbar with the buttons and features explained above. You can remove any of the buttons by clicking on the small arrow next to the logo and choosing "toolbar options." If you don't like the toolbar at all, just uninstall and restart your browser.

Note: I created the French toolbar, but the software itself is built and maintained by Conduit, which has its own privacy policy and technical support. According to Conduit, it will work in all browsers on PCs, MACs, and Linux. If you have trouble, please contact tech support. To uninstall, click the technical support link, then scroll down to "uninstalling the toolbar" and click "how to uninstall."

If you have comments or suggestions about the actual content included in the buttons and links, please post a message for me on the forum.
