Dog Trots Globe: To Paris and Provence, by Sheron Long
If you're interested in reading a cute, traveling dog tale as barked to her owner, check out Chula Wula d'Augue's Dog Trots Globe: To Paris and Provence. From daily boulangerie visits (to savor the smell of freshly baked bread) to weekly marché outings (complete with paella and sausage dégustations), Chula describes the best parts of exploring France at ground level, and with the French love of dogs, this is a varied list. France is full of dogs of all shapes and sizes, and there are few better ways for anyone, native or tourist, to get attention, make friends—and get free samples—than by taking le chien for a walk.

Dog Trots Globe isn't so much a story as a photojournal: an extensive collection of photos, line drawings, and - in the enhanced ebook edition - embedded music videos accompanied by short descriptions of sights, smells, and other canine observations. It's a short, quick, and colorful read. At the end of the book are useful tips on taking your dog to France, including choosing a flight, finding the right-sized crate, and obtaining health certificates.

Chula Wula d'Augue, a nine-year-old Shetland Sheepdog from California, spent two month in Paris and Saint-Rémy-de-Provence researching this book. Her ghostwriter and owner Sheron Long first visited Grenoble as a student and has been to France dozens of times since then.

For anyone who loves France and dogs, Dog Trots Globe is un must!
