Welcome to the French language forums at About.com. The above sign in box will take you to the À la française forum - a place where we can share ideas and learn from one another. Friendly debates and language questions are welcome. The forum is bilingual - you can post in either French or English.

In order to access the forum, you'll need to register. It's free and it only takes a minute. Remember that whatever you choose as your member name is what other readers will see when you post; you might want to be creative and say something about yourself. Also remember that your member name is cASe SenSitivE: if you sign up as FrenchLover, you will always need to log in as FrenchLover - frenchlover won't work. Once you sign up, your member name can also be used for the other About.com forums. If you like, you can add some information about yourself to your profile. When you post messages, you'll notice that your name is a hyperlink. By clicking on that, you can set up your profile and others can find out a bit about you - as much or as little as you are willing to share.

Rules:

• These are public forums for the exchange of ideas. You are welcome to challenge another's opinion, but be respectful. Posts that contain offensive language and/or abusive ideas will be removed. Debate is good, insults are not. If you repeatedly break this rule, you will lose access to the forum.
• Folders help organize forum posts. Please choose the most appropriate folder for your message and post it only once. Duplicate posts will be removed.
• If you know of an excellent French language product or site, you may post one message to let others know about it. However, this is not a forum for classified ads - if you post your message repeatedly, you will be be banned from the forums.
