Test on Plus

The French word plus can be used in any of a number of different expressions or as an adverb. Test your understanding by translating the following sentences.

1. At the most, I need 5 pens.

2. Paul is nicer than David.

3. And furthermore, he is smarter.

4. We have more than 100 students.

5. I work at the biggest school.

6. Do you have an extra notebook?

7. The more the merrier!

8. She has about 15 assistants.

9. We have no more than 10 minutes.

10. On top of that, we have to be home by 10:30.
