Gesture 8: On boit

Gestes français - French Gestures

To indicate that someone has been drinking or is going to drink, hold out your arm, make a fist with your thumb extended, and then move your hand closer to the mouth so the thumb looks like a pitcher's spout pouring the drink into your mouth. Also known as « s'en jeter un derrière la cravate ».
