un rabais - reduction, discount, (pejorative) - third-rate, cheap

J'ai acheté cette jupe au rabais - I bought this skirt at a discount.

Nous faisons un rabais de 10 % sur ces meubles - We're offering a 10% discount on this furniture.

Ce journaliste est rabais - This journalist is third-rate.

rabioter

(inf) - to beg, mooch, scrounge, wangle, swindle

Il a rabioté tout le vin - He mooched all the wine.

J'ai essayé de rabioter 5 minutes de sommeil - I tried to snatch 5 minutes of sleep.

Elle m'a rabioté ! - She swindled me!

(botany) - shoot

Cette plante pousse bien ; regarde tous les nouveaux rejetons. - This plant is growing well; look at all of the new shoots.

 

reluquer (informal) - to eye, ogle

Je n'aime pas être reluquée - I don't like to be ogled.

Ce mec reluque mon repas depuis 10 minutes - This guy has been eyeing my meal for 10 minutes.

rigoler

(informal) - to laugh, have fun, joke

J'ai bien rigolé en regardant ce film - I laughed a lot while watching this movie.

On a bien rigolé, ce soir - We had a great time tonight.

Tu rigoles ! - You're joking!

ringard
