Me Talk Pretty One Day
I was a just little bit disappointed in this book. The description on the back cover of the Abacus edition I bought gave me the impression that essentially the entire book was about learning French, when in fact only about a third of its 28 vignettes have to do with speaking French and/or being in France. Nonetheless, the entire book is very funny, and the French / France stories are well-worth buying the book for.
