Liaisons obligatoires - Required Liaisons

Required liaisons are, logically enough, required; that is, they must be pronounced no matter what register of French is being spoken. Required liaisons occur between syntactically-related words. The following guidelines should give you an idea about the kinds of grammatical situations where liaisons are required, but as always, there are some exceptions.

I.     Nominal group
