This dialogue is read by a man and a woman taking turns being the
receptionist and student.
| Réceptioniste | Bonjour Madame / Monsieur, je peux vous aider ? | Good morning ma'am / sir, can I help you? |
| Étudiant(e) | Bonjour. Je m'appelle Madame / Monsieur Kalik. Je voudrais une chambre, s'il vous plaît. | My name is Mr. / Mrs. Kalik. I would like a room, please. |
| Réceptioniste | Vous avez une reservation ? | Do you have a reservation? |
| Étudiant(e) | Oui, Monsieur / Madame. J'ai une reservation pour deux nuits. | Yes, sir / ma'am, I have a reservation for two nights. |
| Réceptioniste | Ah, voilà la reservation. Deux nuits, une chambre avec une salle de bain. | Oh, here's the reservation. Two nights, a room with a bathroom. |
| Étudiant(e) | Super, merci. | Great, thank you. |
| Réceptioniste | Vous avez la chambre 18, au premier étage. | You have room 18, on the second floor. |
| Étudiant(e) | Merci. Et à quelle heure est le petit déjeuner? | Thank you. And what time is breakfast? |
| Réceptioniste | Le petit déjeuner est de 8h à 10h dans la salle à côté de la réception. | Breakfast is from 8 to 10 am in the room by the front desk. |
| Étudiant(e) | Merci, Monsieur / Madame. | Thank you, sir / ma'am. |

| Réceptioniste | Voilà la chambre. Il y a un grand lit, une fenêtre, une petite table, et une salle de bain avec une douche et des toilettes. | There's the room. There is a double bed, a window, a small table, and a bathroom with a shower and a toilet. |
| Étudiant(e) | Oh, non ! Excusez-moi, mais il n'y a pas de serviettes ! | Oh no! Excuse me, but there aren't any towels! |
| Réceptioniste | Je suis desolé(e). | I am sorry. |
| Étudiant(e) | Et, il n'y a pas de shampooing. Je voudrais du shampooing. | And, there isn't any shampoo. I would like some shampoo. |
| Réceptioniste | Tout de suite, Madame / Monsieur. | Right away, ma'am / sir. |
| Étudiant(e) | Et la clé ? | And the key? |
| Réceptioniste | Voilà la clé, numéro 18. | Here's the key, number 18. |
| Un peu plus tard, en partant pour la journée | A little later while leaving for the day | |
| Étudiant(e) | Bonne journée, Monsieur / Madame. | Have a nice day sir / ma'am. |
| Réceptioniste | Excusez-moi, vous voulez laisser la clé ? | Excuse me, do you want to leave the key? |
| Étudiant(e) | Oui, merci. | Yes, thank you. |
| Réceptioniste | Merci à vous. Et vous allez où aujourd'hui ? | Thank you. And where are you going today? |
| Étudiant(e) | Je vais à la tour Eiffel et je vais au Louvre. | I am going to the Eiffel Tower and I am going to the Louvre. |
| Réceptioniste | C'est formidable. Amusez-vous bien ! Bonne journée. | That's fantastic. Enjoy yourself! Have a nice day. |
