Mise - French Expressions and Phrases
Mise is both the feminine past participle of mettre that means attired or dressed and a feminine noun with several meanings. It is also used in a number of idiomatic expressions which must be memorized. Note that these phrases act as nouns. They can be made into verbs by replacing la mise with mettre.
