Q. I live in a non-francophone country and I'm losing my French. What can I do?
A. First and foremost, you should join the Alliance française.
This is a non-profit organization that works to promote the
study of French around the world. They offer classes at all
levels and sponsor many different events where beginning
speakers and native speakers and everyone in between get
together for dinner, movies, etc. The most important thing
for you to do is to get out there and talk. Don't be shy - the only way to get better is to practice. Try
to participate in as many of their events as you can. If
possible, take a class in addition
to, not instead of, their activities.
