French Numbers - Listen and Repeat

Learn and practice saying French numbers

Practice your comprehension of French prices by listening to this random series of numbers. Note that unfortunately this sound file was done before the creation of the Euro; the prices are in francs.

How to use this page:

1. You must have the free program QuickTime on your computer. If you don't, your computer should prompt you to download it.

2. Click on the second button (the right-pointing arrow) in the box to begin the sound file. You then have several options:

  • Listen and repeat.
  • Click the "list" link to see the list of numbers so that you can follow along with the sound file.
  • Listen and write the numbers in French, in English, or as digits to test your comprehension. After you listen to the sound file, click the "list" link to compare what you understood to what was said.

3. You can play the sound file as many times as you like.
