How did I learn French?

I am not a native Francophone - I had to learn French just like you, by taking classes, studying, making endless vocabulary lists, practicing... and it took a long time! I once received an email full of questions about my experiences learning French and put them together into this article - hopefully you can learn from my mistakes. :-)
