Moroccan women and the new family code

A new family code, introduced by king Mohammed VI in October 2003 and unanimously adopted by parliament in February, puts Moroccan women on equal footing with men in regard to marriage and children.

The main changes to the Moroccan family code include the following:
- Minimum age of marriage raised to 18 for women
- Sharing of property between married couples
- Polygamy strictly controlled
- Divorce proceedings can be initated by women and are subject to judicial supervision
- Possibility of women to retain custody of children
- Inheritance rights improved for women
- Greatly simplified proof of paternity procedure
- Removal of debasing and degrading language toward women in the family code

Bismi-lah. This stupid western woman actually thinks that all these so-called reforms from 2003 are”great way to go”. There are reasons beyond your western understanding as to why men should recieve twice as much inheritance as women. In a normal society, men have twice the responsibility. LIke all the bills. Moroccan society is much worst off unless you like an increase in premarital sex, prostitution, and drug addiction. Oh, yeah I forgot your from the West where these things are normal. She is so stupid and arrogant as to think that as long as they’re following Western values(none)they’re making progress and headed in the right direction. The sad thing is two many insane so-called muslims believe it too. If your way is so great, why are all the western countries on their death bed socially and spiritually. I’m not talking about money. YOu can get money being a thug or thief. That’s not impressive. What exactly is a muslim feminist? LIke oil and water. I can guarantee one thing. Those two muslimahs described in this storey, will stay single and never be married as long as they continue to follow their western ideas. That’s what happens when people think they’re smarter than Allah(G’d). The results in the societies and the ground will confirm they don’t know sqat. Muslims and muslimahs, you’d better try to understand your Qu’ran and hadith or we will continue to suffer, and don’t be decieved enough to think the West has the answers. They don’t Baraka-lahu-alaina.
